Speaker 1:

It's the Lightning Round reflective and connect with the listeners on a more personal level. And, without further ado, let's get to the questions.

Speaker 2:

So I think this sounds like a great time to move into that lightning round. What do you think? Great, let's do it. Question number one what is your favorite leadership word? Integrity Okay. Question number two cup half full or cup half empty?

Speaker 3:

Cup half full. I mean, hopefully you know if I'm going to be a half empty guy, what's the point?

Speaker 2:

Excellent Question three who do you look to for leadership inspiration?

Speaker 3:

Oh, that's a great question. I had a partner, Jim Camp, and we wrote a book together called Start With no, and he was incredibly inspiring for me. He was a negotiations coach.

Speaker 2:

Question number four what would you like to improve about your leadership style?

Speaker 3:

would you like to improve about your leadership style? I think my collaboration, my ability to work with everyone on my team can keep on getting better and better. I don't think I've arrived yet in terms of that. Sometimes I can be pretty headstrong.

Speaker 2:

Okay, and the final question what do you think is your leadership strength?

Speaker 3:

I have an incredible ability to generate ideas and to connect between people and luckily that ability to connect, I do get to use that in my work.

Speaker 2:

Great. Thanks so much. That was a lightning round. You did great. How do you think it went?

Speaker 3:

I always wonder in those things, but I appreciate what you're saying, Simon. Thank you.

Speaker 2:

You did fantastic, no trouble at all.

Speaker 1:

That's it. That's all you have been treated to five leadership-related questions and the responses from this week's guest. We hope you have enjoyed this edition of the Lightning Round brought to you by Trench Leadership, a podcast from the front.
